Popular Fall Wedding Flowers for Virginia and North Carolina Weddings

'Tis the season for the warm, cozy shades of fall to begin popping up all over the country! Fall boasts some of the most beautiful, richly-colored florals, many of which make beautiful options for your bridal bouquet or arrangements, and are widely available in the Virginia and North Carolina area.

While there are too many fall beauties to expand on in one blog post, here are a few of my favorites:

Cafe au Lait Dahlias

These dahlias are a perfect transition between summer and fall, because they come in beautiful shades of blush and light taupe, but prefer the cooler temperatures that fall weather offers. They are huge, often the size of your open hand, making a great focal point in bouquets!

Ranunculuses

Ranunculuses are also a great transition flower, because of their wide array of colors! They can be found in many shades, including deep burgundy, blush, peach, orange, purple and red. These beauties have many paper-thin petals making up their large blooms.

Sweetpeas

These cuties love cooler weather, and they also smell so good! Their small, ruffly petals make them a great textural addition to centerpieces and bouquets. They also come in a wide range of colors, making them a great transition flower.

China Mums

It's no secret that mums are a popular choice for fall gardens, but this oversized, fluffy variety is perfect for bridal bouquets and arrangements! They open up big and beautiful, and have so many tiny petals they they are just downright fluffy! The white ones are a beautiful addition to bouquets!
