If you had told me four years ago that I would be educating others on flowers, I would have laughed right in your face and not felt bad about it. The truth is, though, God had a plan for me that I never could have imagined for myself. Today, educating brides about their floral choices and how they can have really special flowers that add to the meaning and love story of their wedding day is one of my greatest passions. In fact, I'm so passionate about it that I'm currently writing a book on the topic to be released in 2019 (fingers crossed!).

So when I had to opportunity to write a guest post for Team Flower, sharing with other florists how they can encourage their couples to choose meaningful flowers, I jumped at the opportunity with zero hesitation! It is so important to me to share how flowers can play such a special, unique role in your wedding day, so this article is near and dear to my heart.

Learn how the boutonniere shown above was so special to this couple. And while you're there, learn two other ways you can make flower choices that aren't just arbitrary or "pretty."

If you're a florist, I encourage you to help your couples choose meaningful flowers for their wedding day, and this article is a great place to start! If your a bride or groom, this is a great place to get ideas to share with your florist!
